Welcome to Therapy with Lucia, a space where I offer a warm and safe environment to explore your thoughts, feelings and beliefs. I believe your human experience to be unique and commit to providing an empathetic and non-judgemental space, inviting you to explore the many aspects of yourself with compassion and free of judgement.

I believe in the power of human connection, and my goal is to create a space where you feel seen, heard, and valued.I see therapy as a collaborative journey where together we can sit with all that you bring to our sessions, and create a space for you to ponder, to express, to be in the not knowing and to perhaps find new ways to hold yourself through life in a way that feels more connected and aligned with who you are.

 

As an integrative therapist, I draw from a range of therapeutic modalities, including Psychodynamic, Person-Centered, ACT and Compassion-Focused based theories, to create a personalized approach that honors your individual path.

15-20 Minute Phone/Video Consultation - Free

Before we begin our therapeutic journey together, we'll have a 15-minute consultation to briefly connect and discuss your reasons for seeking therapy. This initial conversation allows us to ensure that my approach aligns with your needs and helps build a foundation of comfort and trust. Establishing a supportive and trusting relationship is our priority from the start.

Online Therapy - £65 per 50 minute session

Online therapy allows you to participate from a private, comfortable space, ensuring confidentiality and creating an ideal environment to explore your thoughts, emotions, and challenges.

Our sessions will last 50 minutes (typically referred to as a therapeutic hour) and will be scheduled weekly at the same day and time, providing consistency and commitment.

Face-to-Face Therapy

At this time I am not currently offering face-to-face therapy. However, this may change so if you are interested in face-to-face therapy, please get in touch.

My Approach

Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT)

Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) is a therapeutic approach that helps individuals develop self-compassion and kindness toward themselves. It focuses on understanding and reducing self-criticism and shame by fostering a compassionate mindset. CFT combines principles from psychology, neuroscience, and mindfulness to help individuals build emotional resilience, improve mental health, and cultivate a more compassionate and balanced view of themselves and others.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is a type of therapy that helps people accept difficult emotions and thoughts instead of fighting or avoiding them. It encourages individuals to focus on the present moment and commit to actions aligned with their values, even in the face of discomfort. By accepting what can't be changed and making meaningful choices, ACT aims to help people live a more fulfilling and authentic life.

Person-Centered

Person-centered therapy is a type of talk therapy that emphasizes creating a supportive, non-judgmental environment where clients feel safe to explore their thoughts and feelings. The therapist offers empathy, unconditional positive regard, and genuine understanding, empowering clients to trust their inner resources and move toward personal growth and self-acceptance. The focus is on the client's perspective, with the belief that they have the capacity to find their own solutions and achieve a fulfilling life.

Psychodynamic

Psychodynamic therapy focuses on understanding how past experiences, particularly early childhood relationships, influence current behavior and emotions. By bringing these patterns to light, individuals can gain insight into their emotional struggles and work through unresolved conflicts, leading to deeper self-awareness and lasting change.
